Ok folks I know its been a while but Im finally back with another instalment of the log. Since the last issue a lot has happened in the dons camp. Unfortunately we have lost our 100% record in the league. This has since been forgotten about as the mighty dons regained the bragging rights of Clevedon with a monumental win over local rivals Swiss Valley. Due to yet another injury I have been out of action for the last month but hope to return to the frey soon. The swiss Valley game was a really gritty perfomance by the boys and as I arrived at the Don Vally stadium we were already a goal down. Facing into a howling wind, the lads dug deep and came off at the break still only trailing by one. We knew the wind had at least 1 goal in it and when Alex curled the ball into the swiss ne from a corner we could sense a victory on the cards. As extra time was closing, a fantastic strike from Hillier was parried into the path of Alex who steered it into the net. We then soaked up everything they threw at us for the last 5 minutes and with good saves from Danny at the end we won the game and advanced into the semi finals. We are the only division 6 team to ever reach this stage of the cup so can be very pleased with our efforts. The whole team played outstandingly well but a special captains mention goes to Alex who not only got both the goals, but played for nearly an hour of the game with an injury but refused to be subbed off as was still hungry for more. Good spirit Al.

Here is the rest of the news in brief:
* On the bad side I have once again got myself injured,
this time its mine spine giving me jip. On the plus side after seeing the osteopath again she suggests I start to play again so will be fighting for my spot in the team very shortly.
* We are through to the last 4 in one cup and the last 8
in 2 other cups. The quadruple is still on boys.
* Alex is once again top scorer for the dons as pig took a
winter break to recoup and get smashed with Fuzzer in Spain.
* I have lost count how many games we have gone unbeaten,
all I know is that hillier needs to look into booking that open top bus he promised me at the beginning of the campaign.
* We have another torrid cup game next week against
Portishead.
* Manthony once again beat all at pro evo last weekend.
Will this guy ever loose a tournament? The lad is also getting valuable minutes for the dons, which looks good for the team. Competition will soon be fierce up top with his return.
* The West dons are taking the 6 aside league by storm and
we are now top of that.
* We are looking into getting a reserve team together for
next season spear headed by Egg Basset and West dons manager Rich Skinlari. This is the place where up and coming stars can ply there trade and no doubtedly where injury prone crocks (like me) can see out their career.

That's the news. Sorry if I have left anything out but it just wasn't important enough. Onto my favourite part of the log, 'Chats (no shtats) with Chivs'. This week I am putting Chris 'the Hammer' Hillier under the spotlight. I will reveal some of Chris' kinder sides as well as touch on his quest to gain the biggest guns in the dons squad. Chris has played for the dons since the early days and has filled many positions. His best friend Jack Daniels has seen him through the tough times and celebrated with him the good times. Chris is a keen surfer who likes the slower side of life as well as stepping into the fast lane on one of his motorcycles. Chris is fond of leather bound books and likes nothing more than sitting with a big bag of treats conversing with friends. People I give you Chris Hillier.

Hi Chris.

1)You like myself have been on the crocked list of dons on more than one occasion. How are you holding up at the minute mate? Any little niggles?

many, many little niggles!! but thankfully nothing major at the moment (touch wood), just have to contend with being in bits after the game till about tuesday haha!

2)You have shown your versatility this season playing in all areas of midfield as well as in the forward line. Where do you think you are most suited?

i think out wide in some capacity but i dont really mind wherever i play, obviously lifes easier up top, alltough you do have to chase after a lot of pigs "flicks n tricks" which can get a little exhausting ;-)

3)If you would have continued in the front line for the whole season, how many goals would you have set yourself as a target?

1 more than pig

Ok that's the introduction out of the way lets move onto the nitty gritty. 4)Who do you think is the most talented Don?

definatly egg jefferies, midfield dynamo.

5)Which of these would be your ideal choice for a Saturday night?
a) Staying in for a night of pro evo with the lads and having a pizza?
b) Going out and getting smashed with the footie lads in Weston? c)Combining the above and then when rolling in from Weston deciding to stay up watching superbad and arm wrestling with you housemate, who will remain nameless, (steven burNail) whilst both half naked??

in my defence the last few naked wrestling incidents have been down to burNail, but i find the best course of action is to string the end of the night out till about 9-10am and that way you can fit in a lot of the above whilst really p!ss!ng of our neighbours

6) Your a man who likes the gym. Your party trick seems to be bench pressing random dons back at the bridge and holding relentless arm wrestling tournaments. This question is 2 fold. Firstly who do you think will give you the best run for your money in an arm wrestling bout? Secondly who is the heaviest don you have or think you can bench?

i managed to bench skinner after a very hazy night out on the mean streets, and im not really that good at arm wrestling i just like to get naked ;-)

and now the quick fire round...
7) If you were a flavour of ice cream, what would you be?

triple choc

8)Lager or Cider?

lager

9)Who out of the Dons has the biggest t1ts?

pig haha

10)Daddy or Chips?

chips

11)Which Don would you most like to punch in the face?

pig

and finally....
12)Player of the season prediction?

Big T/Selly

13)Where do you think the dons will come when the fat lady has sung?

league champions with at least 1 cup in the bag aswell!!
